Alumni, Team, and Group Travel
St. Andrews, Scotland
Tuesday
–
A member of USJT Golf Travel staff
will meet you at your departure area. After introductions and a short
meeting with your teammates, you will board your flight to Europe.
The overnight flight includes meals, movies, and beverage services.
Optional balloting for Thursday play on The Old Course,
Wednesday –
Arrival in
Edinburgh, following clearing immigration and customs travelers will
transfer to St. Andrews. Earliest possible check-in will be
arranged. Orientation and dinner (provided) later in the day,
optional balloting for Friday play on Old Course
Thursday
– Breakfast and a
morning 2-hour instructional session at the famous St. Andrews Links
Trust Golf Academy; early lunch on your own at the Eden Clubhouse
and 18-holes on either Fairmont Kittocks, Lundin Links, The Dukes,
or Craig Balcomie depending on availability; optional balloting for
Saturday play on the Old Course
Friday
–
unlimited play;
Breakfast as a group and a day of golf on five of the
St. Andrews Links Trust Courses. USJT staff will assist in golfers’
selection of courses and obtaining tee times. Friday night
supervised free time in the village to shop or make new friends.
Optional balloting for Monday play on The Old Course,
Saturday
– unlimited
play; Breakfast and golf today is players’ choice. Tee times
and amount of golf will be arranged based upon golfers’ preferences.
Visit to the British National Golf Museum or Heritage Golf, makers
of wood shaft clubs. Optional balloting for Tuesday play on the Old
Course
Sunday
– Sleep in or choose time to worship, the group will meet later in
the morning to walk the Old Course (it is closed on Sundays), take
pictures in front of the Royal and Ancient Clubhouse and on the
Swilcan Bridge, see the famous Road Hole Bunker on the 17th,
and even stand in a bunker bigger than you! Optional golf (on your
own) will be
arranged for those who wish to play; practice and putting facilities
will be available as well.
Monday
–
unlimited play;
Breakfast and morning
round on The Castle Course, the newest of the seven Trust Courses;
lunch on your own and a later-in-the-day round on The New Course
(optional); evening time to socialize.
Tuesday
–
Breakfast
and golf is on your own. Time for last minute shopping and pictures;
prepare for early departure in the morning.
Wednesday –
Early wake up and breakfast, depart 6:00AM for Edinburgh
International Airport. Arrive at the gateway airport later that same
afternoon.
