The world's leading golfers will be at Old Course in St.
Andrews to compete for golf's oldest and most coveted
trophy, The Claret Jug. Special arrangements have
been made for the distinct golfer to see this
major golf tournament at the birthplace of golf!
See Tiger
Woods defend his victory in the last Open held in St.
Andrews and bid farewell to Tom Watson who nearly
captured his sixth Open at the age of 59.
The tournament was first staged at Prestwick in 1860.
St Andrews is the only course to have held the event
more often than Prestwick, as 2010 will be the 28th time
it has hosted the tournament.
Accommodations for this program will be at New Hall on
the campus of the University of St. Andrews, a
mere three-minute walk from The Old Course and a
five-minute walk to the city square where restaurants,
shops, and pubs welcome visitors from around the world.
New
Hall offers modern en-suite (private bathroom and shower) accommodation
with a double bed (4 feet 6 inches wide), a television,
tea/coffee making facilities, and a fully licensed bar.
When occupied by
two persons (double) the
rooms are very compact. A full Scottish breakfast is included for the
duration of the stay.
